The race will need hundreds of volunteers to staff the aid stations and offer support to the runners at the start and finish lines. Volunteer sign ups will be available prior to the event, or you can email the Nike After Dark Tour Los Angeles customer service team to express interest. The Nike After Dark Los Angeles 13.1 registration will open on June 3, 2026 at 9a.m. PDT and will close when all entries have been claimed.

The entrance fee for the race is $150. The fee includes a race bib, participant T-shirt, race medal, and access to post-race party. Race registration is non-transferable and non-refundable.

Yes. Each participant must read and agree to/sign a Participant Release during the online registration process.

If you’re under 18, your parent or legal guardian must sign a printed Participant Release. The printed and signed Participant Release must be brought to packet pickup and submitted to Nike before a minor will be given a race bib. The Participant Release will be emailed to participants ahead of the event.

Race registration is non-transferable and non-refundable. Sale and/or transfer of race entries/bib numbers is strictly prohibited and will result in the disqualification and/or banning of any individuals involved from future events.

Runners can download the NRC app to access the official Nike After Dark training plan. The training plans include recommended recovery runs, speed runs, long runs and audio-guided options to keep runners motivated as they train and get them closer to their goals and the finish line. The 14-week tailored After Dark Tour training plan is designed to build your strength and skills to take on the half marathon.

A coastal course designed for the views, the 13.1 mile route will have you running through the South Bay’s most iconic beach cities. Changes to the route will be posted to the race website.

Yes, there will be pace groups between 7 minutes per mile and 15 minutes per mile. Additional information regarding pace groups will be available closer to the race.

Yes, participants must be able to complete the full 13.1 mile event within a four hour course limit.

There will be medical teams positioned throughout the course who can assist if you become unwell or unable to continue. If you need to stop running, you can approach a race marshal, a volunteer at the nearest aid station, or a medical station. They can help guide you safely off the course and to the finish.

Yes. Nike After Dark Los Angeles uses staggered starts, advanced crowd‑flow modelling, managed start waves, and continuous on‑course monitoring to prevent overcrowding and keep runners safe.

Yes, headphones are permitted. We do not recommend noise cancelling headphones for increased runner awareness. But, please be aware there will be music throughout the course!
